BTWL One Day Camp

Oceanside Softball is please to announce that we will be hosting a Softball development day, February 15th 2020 in Arbutus Meadows for U10 and U12 players.

5 hours of training 12:00 to 5:00
Cost is $75 per player
Space is very limited

The lead instructor for this great day of ball is Joni Frei
Joni Frei is a chartered professional coach and certified teacher. She earned a degree in Health Sciences from Georgia College & State University. There she helped lead her team to a 2nd place finish at the NCAA Division II World Series. Joni broke a number of offensive records at Georgia College & State University including homeruns, walks, RBI’s and runs scored. She was recognized to the NCAA National Tournament team, All-Conference Player team and was the recipient of Georgia College & State University’s Athlete of the Year as well as Department of Health Sciences Student of The Year. After graduation Joni moved to Europe to play softball in Holland. Upon the end of her competitive playing career she returned to the United States to pursue a career in coaching as an assistant with NCAA Division I Kennesaw State University under Hall Of Fame Coach, Scott Whitlock. At Kennesaw State University Joni earned a Master of Public Administration. Joni has coached internationally including serving as the head coach of the Austrian National Team at the European Championship in Valencia, Spain, and Head Coach of the Ugandan National team who completed at the WBSC XV World Championship in Surrey, Canada. Joni has coached at all levels collegiately, including serving as the Assistant Coach for NCAA Division I Kennesaw State University, NCAA Division I Mercer University, Assistant Coach for NAIA Reinhardt College and Assistant Coach for NJCAA Georgia Military College. Currently Joni is Owner of Beyond The White Lines Softball Academy in B.C. Canada, Head Coach of The Canada Futures College Exposure Team and serves as an NCCP Learning Facilitator, Evaluator and Director of Coaching for Softball BC.

Beyond The White Lines Family Day Weekend – 2nd Annual U14 Indoor Tournament

Beyond the White Lines is pumped to announce the Second Annual indoor U14 rep tournament in BC. Beyond The White Lines and Oceanside Softball have partnered to offer a development tournament like no other. This action-packed weekend of games and training will serve as an opportunity for teams to see the fruits of their off-season training while serving as a platform for player and coach development.

Teams will play a guaranteed number of four games as well as have allotted time in the indoor batting cages among other player and coach development opportunities when not playing games.

This is will be a great team bonding experience to start the 2020 season.

February 16th to 17th
Tentative U14 Sunday to Monday Afternoon

The Central Vancouver Island Rage fastpitch team, based out of Parksville, BC, is looking to add one or two players to its U16B roster for the 2020 season. 2020 BC High Performance Softball Camp
BC High Performance Softball Camp
Softball is in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the current coaching staff for the Canadian National Team will be the headline coaches for BC High Performance Softball Academy. This Camp will also include current National players, the National Teams Mental Performance Coach and national pool coaches.

Our Mission:
To create an aligned talent development path that raises the standard of softball skills in Western Canada and prepares athletes to complete at: National Championships Canada Games NCAA/NAIA/JuCo/CIS Junior WNT Senior WNT The program is focused on the development of the following athletes: U19 (2001/ 2002/2003), U16 (2004/2005) and U14 (2006/2007) and is aligned with Softball Canada’s Athlete Development Matrix and Sport Canada’s high performance athlete development pathway

Facility:
Arbutus Meadows Training Center 1515 Island Hwy E, Nanoose Bay BC V9P 9A3 a 225ftx175ft turfed facility with three 80ft long batting cage and a bull pen area.

The Camp will cover:
Pitching, Catching, Hitting, Fielding, and Mental Performance

• 12-13 hours of training, instruction and games
• 3 games with National Team Coaches and athletes working with teams

2008-09 (48 athletes with Max 20 pitchers, 12 catchers and 16 infielder/outfielders)

U12 Cancellation policy $50 none refundable for cancellation before March 1st 2020
No Refund after March 1st 2020

U14, U16, U19 – The High-Performance camp’s schedule will include
• Athletes working closely with future Canadian Olympic Team members and coaches
• 13-15 hours of training and instruction
• 3-4 games with National Team Coaches and athletes working with teams
• 2-3 hours of Mental Performance training
• 2-3 hours of Physical training and recovery
• Athletes and Coach’s Talk on College recruitment and information on National Team Program
(2019 we had coaches from Douglas College, Sait and UBCO in attendance)

2006-07 (65 athletes with Max 20 pitchers, 15 catchers and 30 infielder/outfielders)
March 15 to March 18, 2020
